Synergy Labs is a research group based at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, led by Professor Yuvraj Agarwal. The lab's primary research interests lie in the broad area of systems, specifically at the intersection of hardware and software systems. Synergy Labs has been actively involved in exploring various topics, including Energy Efficient Computing in Buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT), Mobile Systems, and Security and Privacy issues. The lab's research efforts are focused on addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by the growing IoT and Mobile Computing spaces. Current projects include the development of classroom sensing fabrics for smart campuses, the creation of software stacks and applications for IoT and Smart Buildings, and the exploration of privacy and security challenges in these areas.
